Optional history permission. Needs 6 eligible sites from a 90-day window; Chrome’s frequency ranking is approximate.
One E-Commerce group can hold Shopify and your Amazon tools, with a named divider to keep the related links together. Less fragmentation, more context.
Local grouping rules, not a remote AI service. You can refine the rules and rearrange the result.

Each template adds a separate board; your existing boards and preferences stay in place. Some linked services need their own account. Templates don’t connect accounts or import private data.
Explore Tabplate guides ↗Magic, Lucky, boards, notes, tasks, themes and exports are included. No Tabplate account, subscription or card required.
Your workspace is not a product to sell. Boards, links, notes and tasks stay in your browser profile. Magic runs on your device. We don’t sell your data, upload your history or add analytics to the extension.
Understand Chrome permissions ↗
History and tab access are optional. Website icon fetching is off by default; enabling it makes requests to those sites. There is no automatic cloud sync. Export before uninstalling or clearing browser data. Chrome and destination websites have their own privacy behavior.
Yes. The current extension includes Magic, Lucky, workspaces, boards, notes, tasks, customization, import and export at no charge. No Tabplate account, subscription or payment card is required. Browser storage and practical safety limits still apply.
In Tabplate 0.11.28, choose Templates next to your boards, preview a template and select Create board. This adds a separate board without replacing your existing content or preferences.
No. Magic uses local rules, domains and titles to suggest groups. It doesn’t call an AI service or upload your browsing history. You can adjust the grouping logic and add your own rules.
After you grant Chrome history access, Lucky uses recently visited sites from a 90-day window to build groups on an empty board. It needs at least six different sites with a Chrome visit count of two or more. Chrome’s visit count may include older visits. Only root site addresses are saved, without private paths or query strings.
Not currently. This version keeps data in one Chrome profile. Use board or workspace exports to move your content or keep an external backup. Uninstalling the extension can remove its local data — export first.
Tabplate is a Chrome desktop extension for Mac, Windows and Linux. This website works on smaller screens too; the extension isn’t a native phone app. Desktop Chrome is the supported installation target.
Storage and browser favicons support the basic workspace. Open-tab and history access are optional and requested when you use those features. Fetching icons directly from websites is a separate opt-in, because those sites can see connection information such as your IP address.
Yes. Export a single board, every board in a workspace, or a full backup. The export is a file you control. No account is needed to keep your content.
